Abbie went to the doctor for her 6 month check-up yesterday. She weighs 16 pounds and 14 ounces (almost 70th percentile-she's growing but she dropped the 80th) and she is 26 inches long (60th percentile). Sophie was slightly longer at this age and weighed 16 pounds 3 ounces (Sophie also started out about 12 ounces smaller). The doctor said that she looked fine which was good to know because she's been kind of fussy this week.
Sophie went to VBS at her Uncle Phil's church in Mt. Juliet a couple of times this week. She came home singing "Roll the Gospel Chariot Along" an awful lot. Matt would tease her by asking if various people or animals such as a dog or a cat were "in the way" if she would stop and pick them up. One time, Matt asked "If an elephant was in the way. . ." Sophie stopped singing, and said, "No, No, No. That's not a good choice! An elephant is a zoo animal, and it's too heavy and too big to stop and pick up!"
