Fall Visitors

This past weekend, Matt's dad, Tom, & his sister, Leia, were able to come down from VA for a visit. It was really nice spending time with them. Matt's mom was able to come a couple of months ago but they didn't get to come then. On Saturday, we decided to head back to Walden Farm. It was very busy this time but we enjoyed it. Sophie ventured into the kiddie haybale maze since Leia was a good sport and went with her. We also all walked through the medium size corn maze, took a hayride, and saw the animals. Sophie was really looking forward to the hayride! We all wore jeans thinking you really sat in hay but you sat on benches. Sophie really enjoyed hanging out with Aunt Leia this weekend. They couldn't believe how much Abbie had grown!

Matt & Tom were able to replace our dead trees in the front yard with some red maples. We were really happy to get that done. Tom helped Matt with some other projects as well. We were able to get Sophie to sleep in our room on a pallet so that Leia could have her bed (even though she was very unwilling at first). Sophie did great though and loved her pallet so much that tonight when I told her that she could go back and sleep in her bed, she didn't want to! She got really upset! You can't ever tell about kids.

Glad everyone had a good time. I was sad to miss the fun but you know what it is like being tied to a school calendar. I hope the tree will take root and grow for a long time.

That Walden Farm sounds really cool! We'll have to get out there before the season is done!
