Paw-paw Tom and Mimi with us at the lodge
When we left Lexington, we headed on up to Vanceburg, KY where Matt's aunt and uncle live. The girls had a wonderful time riding 4-wheelers at their house and we had a delicious dinner. We stayed with them on Friday night and then headed over to visit Matt's mom's side of the family on Saturday. Matt's parents met us in that area. We stayed in the Greenbo State Park for the rest of the weekend. The girls enjoyed visiting their cousins, checking out the pool at the lodge where we stayed and a relative's pool and just hanging out. Abbie refused to take a regular nap the entire trip so the only time she would fall asleep would usually be around dinner time when we got in the car to go somewhere. That was a bit frustrating. All in all though, we were glad that we could go and see Matt's grandparents, parents, aunts/uncles, and cousins. We enjoyed staying the state park this time. Both of Matt's grandparents are in their mid to upper 80's and his granddad has Alzheimer's so we have to enjoy the visits that we have with them especially.
